Lost Dog!

Please keep an eye out for "Alba" a missing dog from Rowayton who has been on the run for almost 12 days!  Alba got away from her dog walker on west avenue near woodland park.
She has been spotted all over Darien- sunset road, weeburn country club,  hollow tree road, bridle trail, crooked mile, Stephen Mather, Brookside, north kings hwy and Raymond street.  She made it as far as 1/4 mile from her home in Rowayton near thomes street.  She has been typically spotted early in the morning - so anyone out for a run/walk/drive- please keep an eye out for her! She is extremely shy. Her leash is dragging behind her. She is in "survival" mode so you will have to get close enough to grab her leash as she will probably run.
If you see her, please call Laura Grabe Hokin at 917-843-9242 thank you!!!!

Brett Mickelson from West Norwalk at 3:58 PM Here is a tip that some hunters use if their dogs get lost in the woods: Grab an article of clothing that has been worn by whichever owner Alba associates with most closely (or one from each) all day (or longer) and bring it to the location where she was last spotted. Leave it there. If she has a familiar toy or a crate (if appropriate) you can bring those as well. Leave a note asking that the items not be disturbed and explaining the situation and giving her phone number. Do bring a bowl of water. Do not bring food. Check in as often as possible. There is a decent chance she will be waiting there. Here's a Reddit thread with this and other suggestions: http://www.reddit.com/r/LifeProTips/comments/1utd8j/lpt_how_to_find_a_lost_dog Thank

Alba sounds like a very smart dog...this breed has an extremey keen sense of smell, I'm an owner of one also. Do put outside her blanket, your blanket if she sleeps on that bed, her toys, put them outside your home, thats where shes headed, she wants to go home

...and never give up hope. I am lighting a candle at St Matthews Episcopal in Tucson Arizona, we will pray for "Alba's" speedy & safe homecoming, Lord knows she's trying her best by the ground she's already covered...good sign!!! Everyone get off the couch, skip the morning tv & coffee & just look outside around your area for little "Alba"....miracles do happen, you could be part of giving great joy to someone who desperately loves & misses thier dog...what would you do if this was YOUR pet....help change someones life, BE the act of kindness. Thank you so much....let' really get searching!!!! God bless, Sincerely, Susan C Johnston (originally from Darien)
