We Are United 2013 Launches Campaign

Highlights Track Record Of Accomplishments;
Introduces Platform To Invest In Darien Focused On Innovative Solutions, Sensible And Transparent Budgeting

Darien, CT (September 19, 2003) – Jayme Stevenson, First Selectman of Darien  announced the kick-off of the We Are United 2013 campaign today, highlighting a strong track record of accomplishment over the last 2 years while also laying out the team’s vision for the future.  Stevenson also emphasized that the six weeks between now and Election Day provides an excellent opportunity to focus the Town’s attention on the issues important to our residents.

“Darien is a wonderful community and we’re very proud of our role in improving the quality of life for everyone – from emergency preparedness and response, under-budget capital projects and improved government transparency to new drainage and infrastructure projects, single stream recycling and more housing choices. Our goal is to have an honest and enlightening campaign that will focus on our accomplishments, common sense ideas and solutions, and respect for our community,” said Stevenson.  “Most importantly, we want to listen to your needs and concerns, and share our vision for investing in Darien – a vision that balances the need to limit spending against what it takes to maintain a quality living environment.”
