Panel: How to Remove Stress, Create Balance in Kids' Lives


YWCA Parent Awareness and the Darien Library present Eliminating Stress and Creating Balance in Your Child’s Life: TWO panel discussions to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 and Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Darien Library.

Terrie Wood, state representative and co-chair of the Mental Health Working Group of the Gun Violence bill, will moderate a panel of experts to help parents deal with the increasing stress our children face.
 
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, Chris Bogart, PhD, Lavi Ben-Zvi, Coordinator for Student and Family Social Services in Darien, Luke Forshaw, principal of Ox Ridge Elementary School, and pediatrician Dr. Jamie Roach Murray will address parents of elementary school children.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, Chris Bogart, PhD, Lisa Bunce, MS, RD/N, Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, Phyllis Weihs, MS, NCC, NCDF, Psychotherapist Fairfield University, and Eileen Whalen, School Psychologist, Darien High School, will address parents of middle and high school students.
