9/11 Remembered in Darien

The town's annual memorial event commemorating the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack included a few remarks by Phil Kraft, the laying of roses and then a wreath at the memorial behind Middlesex Middle School and a moment of silence marking the moment that the first World Trade Center tower was hit.

The moment of silence wasn't entirely silent:, 15 Canadian geese squawked as they flew just above treetop level, then over the crowd of 50 at the event.
