A man wearing a dress shirt and tie reportedly through a basement window in an attempt to steal a family’s safe. He had dragged it from a master bedroom to a hallway when a 15-year-old girl who was home at the time spotted him. The suspect fled, and the girl texted her mom, who called 911. Police were unable to locate the man.

A burglar’s attempt at entering a Norwalk home by screen was thwarted when the homeowner heard something and walked out onto the porch. The would-be robber reportedly threatened the homeowner with a small folding knife after hopping into the yard and then ran away. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
