Michigan Bank Robber Told to 'Wait His Turn'

Patiently waiting his turn apparently paid off for a bank robber, according to this account from the St. Clair Shores Police Department in Michigan.

St. Clair Shores police said they are seeking a man they said robbed the Flagstar Bank at 9 Mile Road and Harper on Wednesday afternoon.

Detective Margaret Eidt said the man gave the teller a note, stating that he had a “pistol.”

The teller replied that “she was too busy to wait on him and he had to wait his turn,” police said.

The man—described as 28- to 35-years-old, between 6-feet, 1-inch and 6-feet, 3-inches tall, with red hair, red goatee and mustache—was seen two different times around the bank before entering.

Investigators said the man, who was wearing a green hoodie, tan pants, white sneakers and a bandage on his left index finger, walked past the ATM about 2:09 p.m., entered the bank and left at 2:12 p.m. before returning to the bank at 2:17 p.m. and approached a teller.

The bank manager spoke with the suspect before he fled the branch on foot. Police said the man fled in a late 1990s or early 2000s Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix.
