Burglaries on Parklands Drive and Post Road

On April 19, two storage units were broken into next to an office building on Parklands Drive; the next day, two burglaries were reported at a Post Road office building.

Darien Police reported the following burglaries in town last Thursday and Friday:

Thursday: Parklands Drive

Ten items of professional sports memorabilia and a flat screen television were stolen sometime between 9 a.m. April 16 and 9 a.m. April 19 from two exterior storage units next to an office building at 3 Parklands Dr. Police did not have available early this week an estimate of the value of the stolen property. The padlocks of each storage bin had been removed.

Friday: Post Road

Prescription medication and a cash box with only about $13 in it were taken when two offices in an office building at 3 Parklands Dr. were broken into sometime overnight, before 6:41 a.m. Friday, when police were notified.

In each case, entry was gained by prying open the front door to the offices.

One burglary occurred at the Immediate Medical Care Center, where papers were later found strewn on the floor and a locked cabinet containing prescription medication was broken into. Police were still uncertain earlier this week what medications had been taken from the cabinet

The other office broken into is Lindsey and Company. Various desks had been riffled through. Police were uncertain early this week what might have been taken.
