Pumpkin Ridge Landscaping offices at 537 Post Road was broken into Sunday night, but nothing was reported stolen, according to Darien police.
The owner of the business said that at about 11:30 p.m. he received a call stating that the building's alarm system had been activated.
Believing the system had simply malfunctioned, the owner decided not to respond immediately, but when he arrived at the business at 7:57 a.m. Monday, he found the building had been broken into.
Entry had been made by prying open a door.
