Fire Rips Through Buttonwood Lane Home [Updated]

All three of Darien's fire departments were called to a Buttonwood Lane home Monday morning as a fire ripped through the residence.

The blaze at 41 Buttonwood Lane was quickly extinguished, but not before causing significant fire and smoke damage to the house. Firefighters were searching for "hot spots" inside the home for about an hour after the initial call.

Early in the development of the blaze, one responder reported "heavy fire" on the second floor of the residence. The full extent of the damage was not immediately known.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
