A car parked overnight at the train station was burglarized when a chunk of concrete was smashed through a side window.

Someone smashed through the driver's side window and stole some items from a car parked overnight, July 13 to 14, at the Darien Metro-North station.

The car was parked in the lot starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday the 13th, and the burglary was discovered by a taxi driver at about 7:30 a.m. the next morning, police said.

A North Face backpack containing gym clothes, a pair of running sneakers and an iPod Nano were the only items reported stolen. The stolen property was valued at a total of $220.
