Copper Construction Material Stolen from Waterbury Ln. House

A theft of metal in Darien.

A builder of a house on Waterbury Lane told police on Nov. 12 that copper material for the building had been stolen over the Veterans Day weekend.

Four 8-foot-long rolls of copper flashing and seven copper pans (devices used to control rainwater drainage from the exterior of the house) were stolen, police were told, sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 and the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 12.

No value had been assigned to the missing items at the time police made the information on the theft public.
