Cops: Darien Man Punched out Limo Window

Police say that when Michael Bowman, 46, was delivered to his Darien home by a car service, he repeatedly punched the rear passenger window, causing it to dislodge.

Town police said a 46-year-old Darien man, driven home from a Manhattan bar by a car service at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, repeatedly hit a passenger window of the vehicle, he damaging the car.

A Cadillac Escalade from the car service delivered Michael Bowman of Five Mile River Road "in the area of his residence" on Five Mile River Road, when, "without provocation," according to police, Bowman began punching a rear passenger window.

The window dislodged from the frame, and the driver called police.

Bowman was arrested on a charge of third-degree criminal mischief and released on a promise to appear May 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

In two other, unrelated incidents: A Darien woman was in Needham, MA, when she appeared to be intoxicated and would not pay a cab driver; a Darien executive, William B. Jennings, after a dispute with a cab driver that led to assault charges.
