Cop Reports: From Unusual to Bizarre

A range of unusual police reports from around southwestern Connecticut arranged in (roughly) increasing unusuality.

A bit beyond the usual:

Apparently angry that his McDonald's order had been messed up, a Fairfield man allegedly tossed his unwanted food through the drive-thru window at the fast food chain's Black Rock Turnpike location, striking the restaurant manager in the chest. The man was soon arrested.

Milford Police released video footage of a huge fight involving several people that took place recently in Milford Center.

A Naugatuck woman is accused of leaving her 3-year-old child home alone; a neighbor later found the child walking around the next neighborhood over, police said.

A 30-year-old Orange resident was charged with DUI after police reportedly found her slumped over the steering wheel, sleeping, with the engine running.

Odd:

Police arrested both men allegedly involved in an accident in Brookfield—one for being at fault for the crash, as well as the victim, who fled the scene before police arrived.

A man wearing sunglasses at night was charged with driving while under the influence.

A New Canaan man was charged in a December 2012 hit-and-run incident where he allegedly struck a woman who pulled out in front of him while he had the right of way, then allegedly fled the scene before police arrived. According to authorities, an "offline search" by police at the DMV led them to the only vehicle in all of Fairfield County matching the description of the fleeing vehicle—and could have been the only car to have left the grill behind police found at the scene.

A Stamford man allegedly led police on a brief chase before struggling prior to his arrest, causing two officers minor injuries. He was arrested on multiple charges, including illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He smiled as his mug shot was taken at the station.

Downright bizarre:

A Middletown man accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend from Monroe reportedly told a Monroe police officer to "Come and get me," before hanging up the phone on him. Police did.
