A 47-year-old husband of a woman living on the Post Road in Darien has been charged with domestic violence.

At about 1 p.m. on July 24, police were called to the wife's home where a verbal argument had become so intense that the husband pushed his wife.
Police were also told that a previous incident had occurred on June 4 between the two, when she said he lunged at her and pushed her into a desk. She showed police photos of bruises on her upper left arm.
Police applied for and received a warrant for the husband's arrest. He was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.
When he was told of the arrest warrant, the husband, now living in Stamford, turned himself in to Darien police on Friday. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Monday, July 30 (today).
