A 28-year-old Darien man was accused of escalating a verbal argument into a "minor physical confrontation" with his fiancé, who called 911.
Darien police gave this account of the matter:
On Thursday, Feb. 14, Darien police received a 911 call at 12:56 p.m. from a female who seemed to be upset. the call was later disconnected but police were able to determine its location.
When police arrived at the scene, they concluded that the man had turned a verbal argument into a minor physical confrontation.
The man was issued a misdemeanor summons on a charge of disorderly conduct and was to appear Feb. 15 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
