According to Greenwich Police reports, a 51-year-old Darien man was arrested after he was spotted by an officer making an illegal U-turn at about 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, and hitting a parked car.

Timothy L. Grozier, of 25 Leeuwarden Rd., Darien, had a "strong and distinct odor of alcohol emanating from (his) breath and person" while officers investigated the crash on Delavan Avenue, police said.

He reportedly failed all field sobriety tests. In addition to the driving while intoxicated charge, he also was cited for illegal U-turn.

Grozier was released from police custody after posting a $250 bond. He's scheduled to appear March 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
