Darien Woman Charged with DUI in New Canaan

New Canaan police charged Barbara Filippone with driving under the influence on Feb. 17.

Barbara R. Filippone of Hanson Road in Darien, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive right on Feb. 17.

According to the police report, an 18-year-old motorist, also from Darien, had been driving behind Filippone as they drove north on South Avenue. He called 911 after watching Filippone allegedly driving erratically. The police report stated that Filippone failed a field sobriety test.

Filippone posted bond of $130 and has a court date on March 1.
