Fire Log: Leak Triggers Alarm at St. John's

Firefighters also responded to two motor vehicle accidents last week.

MONDAY, APRIL 4

Carbon Monoxide Alarm: Around 7:08 p.m., a carbon monoxide alarm activation brought the to 2 Bishop's Gate Rd. Firefighters obtained positive CO readings from the heating system in the basement of the residence.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6

Fire Alarm Activation: The responded to a fire alarm activation at 719 Post Rd. The source was determined to be burnt food.

THURSDAY, APRIL 7:

Fire Alarm Activation: A fire alarm activation at (1986 Post Rd.) brought the NFD to the scene at 6:22 a.m. The cause was determined to be a water leak at the church.

Fire Alarm Activation: Around 10:30 a.m., the , NFD, and DFD responded to a fire alarm activation at 870 Post Rd. The source was determined to be a water leak.

MVA/Injury: The DFD responded to a motor vehicle accident/injury around 11:26 a.m. at Mansfield Avenue and Dew Lane.

FRIDAY, APRIL 8:

MVA/Inury: A motor vehicle accident/injury brought the DFD to the intersection of Andrews Drive and Old Kings Highway South around 2:57 p.m.

SATURDAY, APRIL 9:

Fire Alarm Activation: Around 12:38 p.m., the NFD was called to 165 Long Neck Point Road to respond to a fire alarm activation. Firefighters determined that the alarm had been set off by contractors working on the house.

SUNDAY, APRIL 10

Odor of Smoke: The NHF responded to a report of a smoke odor at 31 Stephanie Lane around 7:54 p.m. The cause was determined to be a burnt light bulb.
