Fire Log: One Week, Six Accidents
Firefighters also responded to a brush fire off of I-95 last week.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 4
Propane odor: Around 8:15 p.m., the responded to a report of a propane odor at 243A Noroton Ave. Nothing was found at the scene, however.

THURSDAY, MAY 5
Motor vehicle accident: The responded to a vehicle rollover on Stephen Mather Road near Maplewood Drive around 4:16 p.m. The driver — Lawrence Deluca, 48, of Stamford — was able to extricate himself before firefighters arrived on the scene. Read more:

Motor vehicle accident: Around 5:44 p.m., the DFD responded to a motor vehicle accident/injury on I-95 north at exit 13.
Brush fire: The NHFD responded to a brush fire off of I-95 north exit 11 around 7:21 p.m.
Smoke odor: A report of an odor of smoke brought the to 9 Glen Gorham Ln. around 9:31 p.m. Nothing was found at the scene, however.
FRIDAY, MAY 6
Motor vehicle accident: Around 1:08 p.m., a motor vehicle accident/injury at the I-95 north Darien Service Plaza brought the DFD and NHFD to the scene.
SATURDAY, MAY 7
Fatal tractor-trailer crash: A massive tractor-trailer crash and ensuing fire around 6:16 a.m. Saturday brought the NHFD, DFD, and NFD to the scene. Two were left dead in the accident. Read more:
Motor vehicle accident: Around 10:05 a.m., the NHF responded to a motor vehicle accident/injury near 290 Hollow Tree Ridge Rd.
Fire alarm activation: Steam from a dryer triggered a fire alarm at 52 Allwood Rd. around 10:26 a.m., bringing the NHF to the scene.
Motor vehicle accident: A motor vehicle accident/injury brought the DFD to I-95 north exit 10 around 1:06 p.m.
Hazardous condition: Around 1:58 p.m., the NFD responded to a fluid spill in the roadway at 2 Hollow Tree Ridge Road.
SUNDAY, MAY 8
Motor vehicle accident: A motor vehicle accident at Hoyt Street and Wakemore Street brought the NHF to the scene at 11:26 p.m.
