Friday the 13th a Lucky Day for One Car Thief

The car in the parking lot near the Darien Metro-North Railroad Station—a rented 2012 Toyota Sienna—was unlocked, the keys were in the center console. By Monday morning: No keys, no console, no Toyota Sienna.

At about 5 p.m. on—yes, Friday the 13th—an employee of a Norwalk company left a rented 2012 Toyota Sienna in the Koon's parking lot at 55 West Ave. near the Darien Metro-North Railroad Station.

The rented car is often used by company employees—and now, apparently, by somebody else.

The employee put the keys in the center console and left the car unlocked, returning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. The employee returned, that is. The car, valued at $28,000, was nowhere to be found.
