A 4th of July birthday party seems to have ended up with its own 'fireworks,' after some relatives were asked to leave, according to a report.
Police gave this account of the incident:
At about 9 p.m., a Birch Road resident called police and told them some of her relatives were disrupting a birthday party and she wanted them to leave.
When police arrived at the house, they fund a large group of people on the front lawn. Patricia Wargo, 52, and her son, Geoffrey Wargo, 21, both of Eastfield Drive in Fairfield, were yelling loudly and arguing with other relatives.
When officers tried to intervene, neither of the two would quiet down, and both became even more disruptive. Police repeatedly warned them, then forcibly restrained them, handcuffed them and took them into custody.
Both Wargos were charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer. The mother was released on a written promise to appear in court. The son was released on a $100 bond. Each is scheduled to appear July 18 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
