In Darien, Overnight Parking Banned for Snow Season

Cars found parked on public roads get warning notices from now to Dec. 1. After that, it's tickets.

The Darien Police Department issued the following news release on wintertime parking regulations today, Friday, Nov. 15, the day the regulations go into effect for the season (the good news is that all you're going to get for the first two weeks are warning tags):

Beginning Nov. 15, 2013 Darien police officers will place warning tags on all vehicles parked on public roads between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m.

Effective Dec. 1, 2013 officers will issue tickets to vehicles parked on public roads between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m.

The purpose of this restriction is to allow the town to clear the streets of snow during the winter months.
