Man Gets DUI After Allegedly Driving Wrong Way on Post Road
Darien Police said an officer on patrol observed a 2004 GMC Savana exit I-95 at Exit 13 southbound and turn left on the Post Road, proceeding westbound in the eastbound lane of travel, shortly after midnight.
A man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Friday, Sept. 21, after an officer on patrol saw his vehicle traveling in the wrong lane on the Post Road.
Police said an officer on patrol observed a 2004 GMC Savana exit I-95 at Exit 13 southbound and turn left on the Post Road, proceeding westbound in the eastbound lane of travel, shortly after midnight.
After stopping the vehicle as it began to re-enter I-95 southbound at entrance 13, the officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's compartment.

Police said the operator of the vehicle, identified as Ravi Anand, 43, of Stamford, failed field sobriety tests.
Anand was also charged with driving the wrong way on a divided highway, operating with a suspended license, and failure to return suspended license. Anand posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1.
