When officers arrived at her apartment (397 Post Rd.), Komm said, they found the woman standing outside, her face bloodied and swollen.

The woman told police she had attempted several times to wake Rush, who had been asleep in her apartment after reportedly drinking. Eventually he got up and began swinging at her, the woman said, twisting her arm and punching her several times in the face.
