SATURDAY, SEPT. 17

  • Burglary: Police responded to a burglary at a "very large home" Saturday night on Mansfield Ave. According to Komm, the call came in around 11:41 p.m. as an alarm activation in the mud room of the residence. When police arrived, they discovered "extensive damage" to a door and windows along a seven-foot section of the house indicating that intruders had pried them off. Due to the size of the residence, police brought in Zulu, the department's K-9, along with a state police K-9 unit to search the home. No one was found inside and no valuables were obviously out of place, but a blue pry bar was found at the scene. The occupants of the house were away at the time.
