According to police, an officer pulled over Aziz's Volkswagen in the parking lot of Post 53 around 8:39 p.m. after noticing it had an illegal front window tint. As the officer interviewed him, Aziz was reportedly nervous and "visibly shaking." When he was informed that Zulu, the department's certified K-9, would conduct a free-air sniff around the vehicle, Aziz allegedly told police he had three bags of marijuana in his front pocket. Zulu subsequently indicated the presence of the drug on the driver's side door handle and in the center console, police said, which was found to contain a small amount of marijuana residue. Aziz was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court May 20.
