One motor vehicle burglary and three incidents of physical altercations.

Wednesday, Dec. 9

Purse stolen from car parked in church lot

A female Darien resident reported a motor vehicle burglary at around 11:18 a.m. She said that she had parked her car in the lot of the First Congregational Church around 9:45 a.m. When she returned, the front passenger window of her car, a 2004 Audi, had been smashed and her purse, which was left in plain view on the passenger seat was taken. Police say the purse itself was later recovered in Norwalk on Eli Avenue but the contents, a pink wallet containing credit cards and $20 to $30 in cash and an iPod Touch valued at $210, had been removed.

Thursday, Dec. 10

Girlfriend hits boyfriend

A 28-year old Norwalk woman was charged with disorderly conduct in a domestic violence incident involving her boyfriend around 10:30 p.m. She allegedly hit him in the head. Bond was set at $250 and she went to court on Friday, Dec. 11.

Man attacked when three men invade his home

Sunday, Dec. 13

Three men leave bar; get in brawl

Alexander Brown, 23, of Vero Beach, FL, Federico Hernandez, 22, of Darien, and Brian Burke, 22, of Darien were charged with assault in the third degree around 2:50 a.m. They were leaving Ernie's, and got in a physical fight in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts, police say. All were released on promises to appear in court at a scheduled date of Dec. 23.
