Police Blotter: Homes Burglarized on Fitch Avenue, Nature's Way

Police also took a Greenwich woman into custody last week after she allegedly interfered with an officer.

The following information was provided by the  and reflects incident reports, not convictions.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 20

  • Interfering with an officer: Jennifer Taylor, 45, of Greenwich was taken into custody after allegedly resisting a police officer's instructions during a traffic stop. According to Capt. Fred Komm, an officer noticed that Taylor's 1992 BMW 325i lacked a front license plate as the vehicle was entering I-95 south at exit 13. When Taylor was stopped on the shoulder near exit 10, she "began to immediately argue" and declined to furnish her license until repeatedly asked for it, Komm said. As the license was reportedly suspended, she was placed under arrest. When the officer tried to place her in the back of a police car, however, Komm said she resisted and had to have her legs forcibly pushed into the vehicle. Taylor was charged with interfering with an officer, failure to signal, failure to display a front license plate, driving with a suspended license, and failure to return a suspended license. She was released on $1,000 bond and is set to appear in court Sept. 30.
