Police: Darien Man, 20, Caught Selling Prescription Narcotics

The arrest comes as police investigate the use and sale of prescription narcotics in town.

A 20-year-old Darien man who is no stranger to police was arrested Wednesday night after officers conducting a surveillance operation reportedly observed him sell prescription narcotics.

The man, Scott Waters, of 5 Walmsley Rd., was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on April 9 on a charge of sale of a controlled substance.

Police said his arrest is the result of an investigation by the Darien Police Selective Enforcement Unit (S.E.U.) into the use and illegal sale of prescription narcotics within town. Waters was arrested on Heights Road after officers conducting surveillance developed information that he had illegally provided prescription narcotics to another person while in the Noroton section of Darien, according to the police report.
