Cops: Darien Driver Intoxicated, With Lights Off in Westport

A 47-year-old Darien man failed to stay in the proper lane and didn't have his headlights on, Westport police said.

Joseph Maker, 47, of Darien, was driving intoxicated, erratically and without headlights on at 2:34 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 in Westport, according to police there.

Maker was charged with driving while under the influence, failure to drive in the proper lane and failure to have lights illuminated.

He was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 9 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
