Cops: Erratic Driving on I-95, Then DUI Arrest

After a Darien police officer saw a BMW being driven in an erratic manner, the vehicle was stopped, the 32-year-old driver was given field sobriety tests and then arrested on a charge of driving while under the influence, police said.

A 32-year-old man was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol after he was seen at 1 a.m. driving "in an erratic manner" on the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Exit 12, Darien police said.

Eric Aloyo of Bouton Street in Norwalk failed field sobriety tests given to him by a police officer, according to police Aloyo was driving a 1995 BMW 735 when the car was stopped. Police said an officer also noticed that one of Aloyo's brake lights was out.

Aloyo was charged with driving while under the influence and driving with defective brake lights. He posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear March 25 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
