Police: Two More Men Soliciting Without a Permit

Darien police arrested two men on Hope Drive on charges of soliciting without the required town permit.

Police gave this account of the matter:

On July 25, Stephen Morgan, 27, of Detroit and Kitteran Payton, 32, of Los Angeles came to a home on Hope Drive offering to sell magazines. The resident told police about the solicitors at about 3:52 p.m. that day, a Wednesday.

Police went to the scene and saw both men on Hope Drive and determined that neither man had the proper permit.

They were each taken into custody and posted $199 bonds for a court appearance. Each man decided to forfeit the money in lieu of a court appearance.

Each man said they had been dropped off in the area by their supervisor and that they worked for Ultimate Solutions, a company in Sylvania, OH. Their supervisor was contacted and paid the fines at Darien police headquarters.
