A Port Chester woman is offering $250 for the return of a diaper bag with sentimental value.
Patch followed up with Lauren Weller after she posted a notice on our boards Thursday that the the Uruguayan fine leather bag stolen from her car on Soundview Street had been a gift from her husband on the pair’s honeymoon and since had been converted to a diaper bag for their first-born child.
“It is not replaceable,” Weller told Patch in an email.

“It was a gift from my husband—we were traveling on our honeymoon and for sentimental reasons, I decided to use it for carrying my first son's diapers and such,” she said.
The Pecari brand, satchel-style bag, pictured, includes alligator embossing.

Unsure of how much police would be able to help, Weller is putting out a call for assistance. Her email is lwell11192011@yahoo.com
Explaining why she’s offering the reward, Weller said: “It means that much to me—it is not the value of the bag but the memories associated with it that have been tainted now.”
