Possible Human Remains Found in Salvatore Perrone's Basement

Discovery made during search of alleged Brooklyn serial killer's Staten Island home.

Unidentified, possibly human remains were discovered in alleged serial killer Salvatore Perrone's Staten Island home, police said Wednesday.

Police said that during an investigation of the 64-year-old's home the potential evidence was found in the basement.

The investigation is ongoing, police continued.

Salvatore Perrone was indicted Monday in the murders of three Brooklyn shop keepers, including Rahmatollah Vahidipour, 78, the owner of She She Boutique on Flatbush avenue.

Perrone allegedly shot and killed Vahidipour, Mohammed Gebeli, 65, and Isaac Kadare, 59 with the same gun in three separate incidents since July 6.  If convicted, he faces life in prison.

It remains to be seen what else the detectives will uncover. Serial killers are usually very clever at not getting caught. The murderer(s) of ten people found at Oak Beach on Long Island when the police were looking for Shannon Gilbert still remain at large and a mystery. As a novelist of thrillers surrounding serial killings, Perrone is an interesting case. Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.
