Red Cross Comes to Aid of Darien Resident Displaced by Fire

The fire broke out in a two-family house on West Avenue.

A fire ripped through a two-family home on West Avenue early Thursday morning.

No one was injured, but five people were displaced by the fire, according to a report by News 12

One of those residents required emergency housing and clothing assistance, which was provided by the American Red Cross via two volunteers, Frank Casella and Emily Casella.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a person might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire. 

The exact address of the fire, as well as a cause, were not immediately available.
