Shelton Police Identify 2-Month-Old Infant Who Died Monday

Shelton police released the information Tuesday.

Shelton Police have identified the infant who died Monday as Caleb Strovers, 2 months old.

"Shelton Detectives, with assistance from the State Medical Examiner’s Office and [Department of Children and Families], are still conducting an investigation into the death of 2 month old Caleb Strovers.

"The family is cooperating with police. The cause of death has not yet been determined," said police spokesman Lt. Robert Kozlowsky.

Kozlowsky added that DCF is usually notified in cases of child deaths for assistance. Also, the state Medical Examiner's probe can take an undetermined amount of time, depending on how busy the office is.

"As soon as they know, we will know," the spokesman said.
