Shelton Police Investigate Death of 2-Month-Old

Police received a call from the mother at 7:30 a.m. today and are still at the home where the infant died.

Shelton police are on the scene of a town residence investigating the death of a 2-month-old boy.

The infant, whose identity was not disclosed, was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to a report just released by Shelton Police.

Police responded to the house—an exact address was not provided—at 7:30 a.m. today, March 11, after receiving a 911 call from the mother, who said her 2-month-old son was not breathing.

"The scene was secured by police and the detective bureau responded to the scene to investigate the child’s death. The incident is still under investigation by detectives with assistance by the State Medical Examiner’s Office and the Department of Children and Families (DCF)," the report states.
