West Haven accident leads to Wilton stolen property case
12/27: Wilton Police arrested a man after a motor vehicle accident occurred in West Haven. It turned out that the man involved in the accident, Kowk Lau, 34, of Milford, had an arrest warrant pending for a 2009 larceny of a $1,200 Apple MacBook, according to reports. Kwok was transported from West Haven and processed in Wilton, where he was given a $5,000 bond. Kwok posted bond and was issued a promise to appear in court.

12/27: Police responded to a complaint from a resident who had gone back to his storage container at but found it empty, according to police. Police said that the victim had rented the container in 2009 and filled it with $3,000 to $4,000 worth of items, but hadn’t been back since then. Storage Deluxe said that they received a phone call from the victim saying this same person wanted to cancel their storage rental; when the company attempted to call the person back to coordinate removal of these items, they apparently could not reach him, police said. As per the company’s policy, the items were thrown out after they were not claimed by the person and the rental was supposedly terminated. Police said this was likely a civil suit.
Parts stolen from Bruce Bennett Nissan

Suspected trailer burglar arrested
12/27: During the month of March last year, approximately $ on Danbury Road. Last week, police arrested Costa J. Stergue, 42, of Redding Road, Redding, for association with this burglary, according to police reports. Police said that they arrested Costa while he was appearing at Norwalk Court, apparently for other charges—charges which Costa is now “currently in jail” for, according to reports. Costa was issued a $10,000 bond and charged with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the fourth degree, and conspiracy. Police said they an arrest warrant for a second person involved in the trailer burglary is “pending execution,” according to reports.
Simple trespass & pot smoking
12/30: Two twenty-year-old Wiltonians were caught trespassing on Ambler Field while in possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, according to police reports. Police charged Michael Cavalea, 20, and James Horner, 20, for simple trespassing and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, according to police reports. They were not given a court date.
12/28: Police said they found a driver on Cedar Road who had been “operating a vehicle when it became disabled,” according to reports. When an officer showed up to the scene, the operator, John Fragomeli, 43, of Weston, the officer said the accused had “a drink the car that he had been consuming” and that the accused was “found to be intoxicated,” according to reports. Police arrested the accused and issued him a promise to appear in court.
