Teen Critical After Hit and Run

Police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run that sent a 16-year-old male to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Darien police say a 16-year-old male is in critical condition after a hit-and-run accident that took place on Hoyt Street near Lynn Court on Saturday afternoon.

"Right now we're just trying to piece the story together," said Sgt. Jeremiah Marron.

The young man was walking northbound on Hoyt Street, toward New Canaan, when police say he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Witnesses say the silver Toyota Camry fled the scene after the collision.
