Thief Steals $474 in Computer Ink — in Stolen Bag

The lock for the case containing computer printer ink was apparently no match for a thief, who may have had a key.

Surveillance video from the downtown Darien CVS store at 964 Post Road shows a woman entering the store with a black bag and leaving it with a large, colorful Hallmark bag.

Near where the Hallmark bags are kept is a locked case with computer printer ink -- from which 17 cartridges worth $474.83 was stolen on Thursday, Nov 7. It is believed that the female may have had a key for the case.
