A Darien man arranged to buy concert tickets for $733 from a seller on Craigslist, but after the money was wired through Western Union, the tickets never appeared—and 'James' the seller vanished.

A Darien man trusted an anonymous seller on Craigslist to send him concert tickets after $733 was wired to a Western Union office.

On Thursday, the Darien man told police he had responded to a Craigslist advertisement for the concert tickets. Then he used the Western Union office in Norwalk to wire $733 to a person purporting to be "Brad James," purporting to be somewhere in New York City.

The money was picked up from Western Union.

Western Union is investigating the incident. A complaint has been filed with Craigslist.
