Two More Bikes Stolen from Darien Train Station

One bike was stolen from one side of the station, the other from the other side. Both were locked.

Two more bicycles have been stolen from the Darien Metro-North Station, one from each side of the tracks.

On Tuesday, Aug. 21, a black and white Trek bicycle was stolen from the westbound tracks side of the station. The owner couldn't put a value on the bike.

The bicycle was discovered missing at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21. It last had been seen at the train station when the owner had left it there on Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. The bicycle had been secured with a chain and combination lock.

On Friday, Aug. 24, a second bicycle was found stolen after the owner left it locked to the bike rack at the eastbound tracks side of the station.

The owner had left it locked with a padlock at the station at about 8:15 p.m. On returning at 5:10 p.m., the owner found the bike was missing. The mountain bike is green and black. The bicycle is valued at about $200. A bicycle helmet attached to the bike was also missing.
