Greenwich Cops: Woman Stole 'Large Sum' from Work


A former employee of a Cos Cob beauty and skin clinic has been arrested on a charge she reportedly stole "a large sum of money" from the firm, according to Greenwich Police.

According to a police report, officers were sent to the offices of NaturallYou at 40 Post Rd. about 4 p.m. Oct. 23 "on the report of a female within the office had stolen a large sum of cash and had been locked within the office by employees."

Police arrested Dawn M. Montano, 51, of Consulate Drive, Tuckahoe, NY, on a charge of first-degree larceny.  The report did not specify how much money Montano is accused of stealing or what her position was with the business. However, according to Connecticut General Statutes, first-degree larceny involves the theft of more than $10,000.

Montano was released after posting $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 30 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
