YourCT.com: New Law Protects Seniors Against Scams
Senator Bob Duff visited Darien Senior Center Monday to discuss legislation.
On Monday, State Senator Bob Duff addressed seniors having lunch at the Darien Senior Activities Center about new legislation that protects senior citizens from fraudulent financial schemes.
Duff said the law is targeted at persons who purport to have special training, education or experience in advising senior citizens about securities.
Duff said someone using a phony title can be subject to license revocation, fines or a jail sentence.
