Resurfacing Work Continues on Town Roads

Paving and milling is set to run through Aug. 25, with one additional project scheduled for mid-September.

Minor traffic delays are likely for another two weeks as paving and milling work continues on Darien roads, according to the Department of Public Works.

Officials are urging drivers to avoid areas where repaving is taking place or, if travel is necessary, to use "extra caution." Due to the need to perform preparatory milling, raised structures will be present on affected roads.

Public Works reports that driveway access will be limited during the work, but that no single driveway should be blocked off for more than an hour. On street parking is suspended during the operations.
