RTM, Selectmen Meet Monday Night [UPDATE]

The Representative Town Meeting holds its regular meeting tonight at which it will hear reports; separately, the Board of Selectmen holds a special meeting about the next fiscal year's town budget.

Attached are documents related to two of the presentations tonight: One on recycling and the other from the Connecticut Rail Commuter Council.

The Representative Town Meeting will sit tonight in the Town Hall Auditorium to hear several reports, although a scheduled vote on an inter-town agreement for mutual police services with Greenwich has been canceled.

These matters will come up at the meeting, according to its agenda:

  • Report from the RTM Education Committee on the Board of Education
  • Report from the Transfer Station Advisory Committee
  • Update on new trains by Jim Cameron. Cameron has been a member of the RTM and is also chairman of the Connecticut Commuter Council, which acts as a state ombudsman for commuters.

Although it isn't announced directly the way other non-budget meetings are announced, the Board of Selectmen will hold a special budget presentation at 7:45 p.m. tonight in Room 206 in Town Hall.
