The Congressman is Coming to Town

Himes is holding office hours during the summer recess.

For the first time since 4th District Congressman Jim Himes took office in January, his staff is holding constituent office hours in Darien.

Himes' staffers will be on hand at the Town Hall tomorrow, Friday, August 21, from 9:30 to 11:30am to take feedback on legislative issues including health care reform and help with other concerns from passport applications, to veterans affairs, to small business loans and federal grants.

Himes has permanent offices in Stamford and Bridgeport where his staff has already handled about 1,500 constituent cases. The office hours in Darien are part of an effort to make services more accessible for constituents outside the district's cities.

Himes will make a stop on his "Health Care Listening Tour" in the auditorium at Norwalk Hospital on Sept. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Constituents from across the district are encouraged to attend.
