A Special Study Skills Workshop for Darien Middle & High School

S4 is proud to introduce its highly successful Study Skills program to Darien High and Middlesex Middle School students — perfectly timed to coincide with the completion of the first marking period.

What:
S4 - Successful Study Skills 4 Students is an accessible, logical and easy-to-implement system for student organization, note taking, test preparation, time management and much more.

Based entirely on educational research and proven benchmark studies, and taught by Connecticut-certified Master-degreed teachers, S4 offers a template for your child's success - both in and outside of school.

What your Student will Learn:
In a lively and highly participatory presentation, your student will learn skills and tools they can use in school – and in life – including:

● Goal Setting & Time Management
● Note-Taking Methods
● The Importance of Asking Questions
● Understanding Main Ideas & Important Details
● Active Reading Strategies
● Generating Effective Questions
● Using Pictures & Graphic Organizers
● Summarizing to Learn
● Notebook Organization
● Test Preparation Strategies

Thanks to limited class size, your child will engage in interactive activities designed to reinforce the taught skills and systems. Our seasoned and animated teachers ensure personalized hands-on participation by even the most reluctant student.

Cost:
The cost of the 4½ hour class is $300 per student. Class size is limited to 15 students on a first-come first-serve basis.
