DHSPA Hosts Dynamic Panel on Internet Safety

All students, parents and teachers are invited to a special informative evening, Don't Sext It, Text It or Post It on Your Wall,  Tuesday, March 2, from 7-9o p.m. in Darien High School auditorium.

The DHSPA has assembled a dynamic panel of internet specialists, including Head of Internet Crimes Against Minors Task Force Joe Kennedy, Privacy Protection Specialist Mike Spinney, and DHS Principal Dan Haron to educate parents and students about the dangers of these forms of communication. The panel will address:

  • Sexting: It's sad, scary and illegal
  • Critical steps for protecting your online reputation and building a digital record
  • Ins and outs of social networking
  • What you post can affect your college and employment opportunities

Don't miss this chance to hear from the experts on internet safety and ask your questions at this DHSPA meeting.  Middle school and high school students and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
