Identity Theft Discussion

Rodrigo Ferrer, an agent with United Healthcare and an underwriter for AARP medical products for seniors in Connecticut, will discuss identity theft and specific ways to be protected against fraud beginning at 12:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at the . Ferrer will address the following topics and concerns:

• What does "identity theft" really mean or entail?

• How do you reduce the risk of being a victim of scammers who target you?

• What can you use as alternatives to costly legal fees and other related costs to restore your credit if victimized?

• Which companies or organizations can you be sure will guarantee that my information stays confidential?
